We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe God is spirit and is the eternally existent God, that created all things by the power of His Word. We believe Jesus Christ was God manifested in flesh. He is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:1,2; John 4:24; Hebrews 1:2)
We believe that great is the mystery of Godliness, and considering the incredible personage of our God, we desire no separation of believers based on differences in revelation of the Godhead. (1 Timothy 3:16, 1 Corinthians 13:12, 1 John 3:2)
We believe Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and in the flesh lived a life without sin. In the death of His flesh, He became an offering for the sin of all mankind; especially those who believe on Him. In His resurrection He and only He becomes the cornerstone of our faith and our fellowship. (Matthew 1:18, 25, Hebrews 2:14, 5:7-9, 10:10)
We believe that a man is saved when he is convicted of his sin and calls upon the name of the Lord for mercy. Forgiven, he is then buried with Christ in baptism, and raised from that place by the infilling of the Holy Ghost, by whom he is enabled to live godly and be changed into the image of God. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3, Colossians 2:12,13, Titus 3:5)
We believe that salvation is free but not cheap. There must be a manifestation of our faith in all that we say and do. We believe that the grace of God is not merely “unmerited favor” but is rather the power of God unto salvation. (Romans 6:23, Matthew 13:44-46, Philippians 3:11-14, 2 Corinthians 12:9)
We believe that without holiness no man shall see the Lord and because of the great and precious promises that are given us; all believers everywhere ought to strive to put off all filthiness of flesh and spirit. This effort requires the power of the Holy Ghost and the continual fervent fellowship with those of like precious faith. (Hebrews 12:14, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Acts 1:8, Hebrews 10:24,25)
We believe in the resurrection of all men, both saved and unsaved. The saved will reap eternal life while the ungodly and the sinner will be judged according to their works. We will labor to make the salvation of all Gods people sure and strong. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28,29, Daniel 12:2)
We believe and accept God’s Word as the ultimate authority over all the laws, reasoning, and thoughts of man. All teachings proclaiming marriage as acceptable between anyone other than one man and one woman are considered false and will not be participated in by any minister of Trim the Lamps Ministry. (2 Corinthians 11:2, Matthew 19:5, Romans 1:24,25)

What is the teaching portal? Live streamed or pre-recorded Bible studies that are short and to the point. We would love to draw upon the mature Christian brethren that we know to contribute as they are able.
The intent is to encourage all believers to further their understanding in the Word of God and move into a deeper walk with the Lord Jesus. Much effort will be on those areas that are so lacking in today’s church landscape. Topics such as prayer, fasting, responsibility and accountability of believers, and the need for community and godly fellowship among the redeemed of the Lord will be targeted heavily.
Each video will be streamed here as a YouTube video, then move into a place of archive where they will be available as a continued resource.
What is this worship portal? You will be able to participate in the live streaming of times of worship; scheduled and unscheduled. It is our hope that we will have many times of impromptu worship that could be opened to all. However, because we are new as a ministry we will add this functionality over time.
